GOLLER Systems: Avant-Garde Solutions for Product Development
Modern healthcare and plastic-based medical products are hand in glove. Yet, to manufacture the myriad of products that flood the medical spectrum today, a host of parameters needs to be considered very carefully. Right from choosing the appropriate plastic material, optimizing the selected plastic to customizing the product according to the industry requirements and finally fulfilling the regulatory compliances, the checklist is endless. Aided by an exceptional team of engineers spearheading innovative ideas, Austria-based GOLLER Systems brings to the table an extensive portfolio of services and solutions to tick off the hurdles of manufacturing in the medical devices and diagnostics industry. “We leverage our competencies across the entire value chain starting from product design, engineering, injection molding simulation, prototyping, all the way to serial manufacturing,” states Kurt Helletzgruber, Managing Director of GOLLER Systems.
GOLLER Systems delivers functional medical products and assists clients with their outstanding personnel, updated equipment and quality management system in the overall operations process complying with the regulatory norms. “We help organizations in designing a product that is not just functional but can also be easily assembled, packaged and manufactured in large quantities,” adds Helletzgruber. The company offers their best in class expertise in manufacturing primary packaging products, application systems, mixing and transfer systems and customized system solutions made of plastic for the medical devices and pharmaceutical sectors.
One of the highlights of GOLLER Systems is their scalable, flexible and versatile cleanroom production with ISO 6 and 7 cleanroom class standards in manufacturing. The company is also ISO 13485 certified for medical devices and ISO 15378 certified for primary packaging, which is rare for companies functioning in the same category. Flexibility and speed along with the added advantage of the team’s sound knowledge in different types of mixing systems have been instrumental in aiding them on combining fluids of varying viscosities with accuracy. This translates to filled, ready to use, and sterile medtech products that can be used directly by medical practitioners.

Originally set up as a manufacturer of household appliances in the 1950s, GOLLER Systems started with the production and development of products made of plastic. Along the timeline during the 1980s, the company then progressed to focus on diagnostics and developing premium products for medical devices companies. By 2013, the company registered itself as a certified tissue bank in accordance with the Austrian Tissue Safety Act and obtained authorization to import and work with human tissues. This granted them permission for the process of filling, packaging and storing bone tissues and in addition, they began producing containers for bone granulate filling. Currently, GOLLER Systems is in the process of manufacturing packages for products as well as filling liquids into packages under sterilized conditions for the medical devices and diagnostics industries.
The CEO remarks, “Our adept design expertise combined with operational flexibility and agility in product development distinguish us from the other players in the landscape.” With GOLLER System’s smart solutions and shorter reaction time, clients can arrive at quicker decisions and develop their modules effectively.
The future looks promising for GOLLER Systems as the company envisions enhancing their services and solutions portfolio to manufacture products with faster time to market. But Helletzgruber believes that the GOLLER team’s extensive knowledge and the growing need for primary packaging systems along with customer-focused modules are the factors fueling the company in bringing out disruptive solutions and helping them grow exponentially. “No matter where we are geographically stationed, our competence is renowned and that is what matters while working with clients across the globe,” he concludes.
